What belongs on a website for photography
- Portfolio by theme. Wedding, family, business, product. Each section with a small, strong selection instead of a hundred pictures.
- Images that load fast. We prepare your photos so they look sharp and still appear quickly. Slow galleries lose visitors and Google rankings.
- Packages with scope. What a shoot includes: duration, number of edited images, delivery time, location. You state prices if you want to.
- How a shoot works. From the first chat to choosing images. People who feel uneasy in front of a camera read exactly this.
- Availability for dates. Especially important for weddings. A calendar or booking tool can be embedded or linked.
- Region in the text. Which city and surrounding area you shoot in. Whoever searches 'wedding photographer' plus a place name should find you.

Common mistakes on today's websites
- Huge image files make the page so slow on a phone that visitors leave.
- The page is almost all images without text, so Google does not know where or what you photograph.
- There is no hint at all of what a shoot roughly includes.
How do I show images without the page getting slow?
Large images are what makes a photographer's website valuable, and at the same time its biggest brake. The solution: provide each image in several sizes so a phone loads a smaller version than a large screen, use modern image formats and load images further down only when they come into view. That keeps the quality visible and the page fast.
What should I keep in mind with photos of people?
For portraits, weddings and family photos you need the consent of the people shown to display the images on your website, under § 22 KUG (German Art Copyright Act). Settle this in your contract with your clients. Feedback from photographers has shown us: the calmer the design, the better the images look. Our team has built, among others, the website of Fotostudio Rolf Stahl, whose visibility has quadrupled according to our measurement.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add new images to the portfolio myself?
Yes. In the admin area you upload images and manage texts and pages yourself. For layout changes, 10 minutes per month are included.
Who owns the website and the files?
You do, with source code, files and content. If you leave, you take everything with you at no charge.
My portfolio is on a website builder. Can you migrate it?
Yes. We move your content over and rebuild the site. Your old site can keep running until the old contract ends, and only then does our billing start, 5 months after your go-ahead at the latest.
What exactly does hosting cost?
A fixed yearly price as a final price, paid once a year and cheaper than your current hosting. We invoice as a US company, so no VAT is added.
