What are the legal points for practice websites?
Doctors and dentists are bound by the professional code of their chamber and by the German Medicinal Products Advertising Act (Heilmittelwerbegesetz). Factual information is allowed, boastful or misleading advertising is not. Besides the details required by § 5 DDG (German Digital Services Act), the Impressum must include the chamber, the statutory professional title with the state that granted it, the professional rules and the competent supervisory authority, such as the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians for practices that treat statutory patients.
