Our promises, word for word

This is a courtesy translation. Only the German version is legally binding: read the German original.

The ten promises

• €0 for the build. We don't charge for concept, design, copy, build or moving all the content from your current site, even if it has lots of subpages.
• Hosting with care, cheaper than today. Once a year you pay a fixed price for hosting, technology, admin area and 10 minutes of changes a month. It's below what you pay for your package today. You get the exact amount in writing before you say yes.
• The price is never raised. There is no price adjustment clause. What's in the offer applies for the whole term of the contract.
• No minimum term. You can cancel at the end of any paid year, with no notice period. A short email is enough.
• The website is yours. Design, copy and source code belong to you. If you leave, we hand everything over free of charge, and you can keep running the site with any provider.
• Domain and email stay where they are. We only change one record at your provider. Nothing changes for your mailboxes. Please don't cancel anything beforehand, we'll tell you when what can be cancelled.
• No paying twice when you switch. The first invoice comes when your old contract ends, at the latest 5 months after you say yes.
• Online only with your approval. Until you approve in writing, your old site stays online unchanged. Every old address is redirected to the matching new page.
• No money and no login details up front. For the draft we only need the address of your current website. You pay nothing before you say yes.
• A dedicated contact person. Maurice looks after you, with his name, mobile number and email (maurice@freeehouse.de). No hotline, no ticket number.

What's not included

• Google Business Profile, building reviews, link building, ongoing search engine optimisation and advertising. Our parent agency Smith & Victory offers these separately if you want them.
• A shop that didn't exist before. If you have one today, you get one again.
• Changes that go beyond 10 minutes a month. We quote those as a fixed price up front, and nothing costs anything without your okay.
• Photos by a photographer. We work with your images.

Is VAT added?

We invoice as a US company and don't show German VAT. For VAT-registered businesses, the reverse charge under § 13b UStG (German VAT reverse charge) applies, so the bottom line usually stays at the stated amount. Kleinunternehmer (small businesses exempt from German VAT) and private individuals should briefly check with their tax adviser whether VAT applies to them.
