Where is freeehouse better?
On time and ownership. You supply nothing, we take over the content of your current site. The site is yours with source code, and you can take it with you at any time. And technical care is included in the hosting.
Where is the website builder better?
On free-form design. If you want to move every section yourself, try new layouts and hold everything in your own hands, you're better off with a website builder. At freeehouse you change text, images, dates and news yourself, and we make layout changes, with 10 minutes a month included. One prospect chose against us for exactly that reason in October 2026. It was the right decision for him.
Who is freeehouse not worth it for?
- If you use a free plan today or pay very little. Then cheaper than today is hardly possible.
- If you want to keep rebuilding your layout yourself.
- If your website builder contract is prepaid for a very long time. Then switching only pays off later. With us, billing starts at the latest 5 months after you say yes.
- If you need inventory management with hundreds of products. A specialised shop is better for that.
What's the catch?
We earn from hosting. You already pay for that today, just somewhere else. With us you pay less, and because we only earn as long as you stay, there is no minimum term. All conditions are in our promises, and questions about them under What's the catch?.
How do I switch?
You join the waiting list. We build a draft from your current site, usually the same day, and you get your price in writing. After your yes, the finished version is ready within 24 hours. It only goes online once you approve it, and the first invoice comes when your old contract ends.
