What is the IONOS website builder?
IONOS is one of the big hosting providers in Germany. Besides domains, mailboxes and servers, IONOS offers a website builder, formerly known as MyWebsite. You build the site yourself from templates, and IONOS takes care of hosting and technology. A special feature is that domain and mailbox are often in the same contract.
What does the IONOS builder cost?
According to the IONOS pricing page, retrieved on 22 October 2026, including VAT:

How do I cancel at IONOS?
According to the IONOS help pages, in your account under My Account, Contracts and Subscriptions. You can cancel the whole contract or individual services. Because domain and mailbox are often in the same contract, extra care is needed here. All the steps are at Cancel IONOS.
Can I keep domain and email at IONOS?
Yes. You can cancel only the website service and keep domain and mailbox, or move everything to another provider. Before cancelling, IONOS recommends a list of all mailboxes and forwards. How to do it safely: Cancel IONOS, keep domain and email.
What alternatives are there?

What does the IONOS builder cost after the first year?
In the Plus plan, according to the pricing page, €18 a month, so €216 a year, after 12 months at €1 a month. Starter then costs €12, Pro €33 a month.
Does IONOS include an email address?
Yes, according to the pricing page one email address with a 2, 12 or 50 GB mailbox, depending on the plan.
Can I export my IONOS site?
Not as a finished website for another provider. According to IONOS, a data export is also no longer possible once the cancellation takes effect. So back up your content beforehand.
How long does an IONOS contract run?
That is in your contract. IONOS states minimum contract terms for parts of its offer. You can see the exact periods in your account under the contract details.
