Which plans does Squarespace have?
According to the pricing page of 23 October 2026:
| Plan | annual, per month | per year | monthly | Online shop fee | Digital products fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | 13,€09 | 157,€08 | 17,€85 | 2% | 7% |
| Core | 20,€23 | 242,€76 | 28,€56 | 0% | 5% |
| Advanced | 34,€51 | 414,€12 | 49,€98 | 0% | 0% |
According to Squarespace, Core includes a full online shop, unlimited contributors and, in the first year, a free email with a matching domain. Advanced has additional shop features. According to the pricing page, the lowest payment fees in Advanced only apply from a certain monthly turnover.
Are the prices with or without VAT?
The pricing page contradicts itself. The price cards say estimated VAT is included, while the questions on the same page say the prices exclude VAT. In October 2026, some businesses told us about dollar amounts plus taxes on their invoice. What counts is the amount on your own invoice.
What other costs come on top?
- Domain. According to Squarespace, it is a separate subscription. You can see the renewal price in your account.
- Email. Runs via Google Workspace and becomes a separate subscription after the first year.
- Transaction fees. In the Basic plan 2% on shop sales, plus the payment provider's fees.
- Extensions. For example for multiple languages. One business told us about roughly €150 a year for a translation tool alone, on top of the Squarespace subscription.
- Appointment booking. With Acuity, Squarespace offers its own booking product with its own price.
What do businesses actually pay?
When businesses told us their Squarespace price in October 2026, the yearly amounts were mostly between roughly €140 and €215. One business paid 331 US dollars plus taxes. Another ran its website on Squarespace for around €160 and its shop in parallel with a second provider for €420 a year. These are figures from conversations, not statistics.
How do I calculate correctly?
- 1
Subscription per year according to your invoice, with tax.
- 2
Domain per year.
- 3
Email per year and mailbox.
- 4
Extensions and second systems, for example for shop or booking.
- 5
Transaction fees at your turnover.
You compare this total with other offers, ideally over three years. How that works is explained in the guide Website costs over three years.

What should I check on my Squarespace invoice?
- Which currency is it billed in, and is tax added?
- Which subscriptions run separately: website, domain, Workspace, campaigns, booking?
- Are you paying for third-party extensions, for example for translations?
- Are you being charged transaction fees because your plan is too small?
- When do the subscriptions renew?
