What do the STRATO plans cost with the promotion?
According to the pricing page of 22 October 2026, including VAT, all with a 12-month minimum term and no setup fee:
| Plan | Promotion | then per month | then per year | Subpages |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | €0 in the first month | €7 | €84 | 5 |
| Plus | €1 per month for 12 months | €12 | €144 | 100 |
| Pro | €0 in the first month | €18 | €216 | 500 |
According to STRATO, a domain and email are included in all plans.
What do the plans cost without the promotion?
According to the pricing page, STRATO also offers the same plans with a one-month term. They then cost €9 (Basic), €15 (Plus) and €20 (Pro) a month, each plus a one-off €15 setup. That is more expensive, but you stay flexible. For a business that only wants to bridge a short period, that can make sense.
How much do I pay over three years?
For the Plus plan with the promotion, according to the pricing page:
| Period | Calculation | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | 12 × €1 | €12 |
| Year 2 | 12 × €12 | €144 |
| Year 3 | 12 × €12 | €144 |
| Total | €300 |
That is cheap compared with other builders. But extra items often come on top.
What extra costs are there at STRATO?
In October 2026 a business showed us a STRATO invoice with several items side by side: Builder PRO for €156, SSL for €72, SEO and marketing tools for €120, Hosting Plus for €168 and extended PHP support for €187.44 a year. Together over €700 for a small website. That is a single case, but it shows the pattern: over the years, contracts pile up that nobody checks any more.
Hosts typically charge for extended PHP support when a site is still running on an old PHP version. This mostly affects older WordPress sites that have not been updated.
Where do I find my STRATO price?
In the STRATO customer login under your contract, and on the invoices. Go through all packages and write down every item with its yearly amount. Even this look is often worth it, because items turn up that you no longer need.
Is STRATO cheap?
After the promotion, the Plus plan at €144 a year is one of the cheaper builders. It gets expensive through extra modules and through your own time that goes into building and upkeep. If you design the site yourself and are happy with the builder, STRATO is good value.
At freeehouse, rebuilding your STRATO site costs nothing, and you only pay for hosting with care, cheaper than your current STRATO amount. You get the exact price in writing before you commit. Claim your spot on the waiting list
What do I check on my STRATO invoice?
- Which packages are running, and which one contains the domain?
- Are there SSL packages, even though a basic certificate is usually free today?
- Are there SEO or marketing tools that nobody uses?
- Is there an item for extended support of an old PHP version?
- When does the term end, and what is the last day to cancel?
Important: never cancel the package that contains the domain before the domain is safely somewhere else. According to STRATO, the domains in it are cancelled along with it.
