What is the STRATO website builder?
STRATO is a large host from Berlin and belongs to the same company group as IONOS. The website builder is a package of templates, hosting, domain and email. You build the site yourself, and STRATO takes care of the technology.
What does the STRATO builder cost?
According to the STRATO pricing page, retrieved on 22 October 2026, including VAT:

How do I cancel STRATO?
According to STRATO, online in your customer login, by phone with a service PIN, via the contact form or in writing, at the latest one month before the end of the term. Note: if you cancel a whole package, you also cancel the domains in it, according to STRATO. A storno takes effect immediately. Everything on this is at Cancel STRATO.
Can I keep my domain at STRATO?
Yes, if you move it into its own domain package before cancelling the package, or transfer it to another provider. How to do it: Cancel STRATO, keep your domain.

What does STRATO cost after the first year?
On the Plus plan, according to the pricing page, €12 a month, so €144 a year, after 12 months at €1 a month.
What is the STRATO notice period?
According to STRATO, the cancellation must arrive at the latest one month before the end of the term. Otherwise the contract renews.
Do I lose my domain if I cancel at STRATO?
If it is in the cancelled package, yes. According to STRATO, the domains in a package are cancelled along with it. Move it beforehand.
Can I export my STRATO site?
STRATO only describes saving a static copy, for example in the browser or with a program like HTTrack. That does not give you an editable website for another provider.
