What belongs on the website?
- Services with price and duration. Clients want to know beforehand what a treatment costs and how long it takes.
- Booking. Directly on the website or through your existing booking system, easy to see on a phone.
- Pictures of your work, real and well lit, with consent when faces are visible.
- Team with specialisms.
- Gift vouchers, orderable online.
- Reviews with source and a note on where they come from.
Why is online booking so important?
Because many clients book in the evening, when the salon is closed. If all they find then is a phone number, they book elsewhere. For a beauty studio in Kassel, our agency measured that impressions on Google quadrupled in two months and brought 24 additional bookings per week. That is a single result, confirmed by the client.
What should I keep in mind with images?
Photos of clients need their consent under § 22 KUG (German Art Copyright Act) if they are recognisable. Before-and-after pictures of cosmetic treatments can also be restricted by advertising law, depending on the treatment. The safest are pictures of rooms, products and your team, and work where no one is recognisable.
What about price information?
Towards consumers, prices must be stated as total prices including VAT. 'From' prices are usual when the service varies, for example by hair length.
Which pages do we usually build?
- Home page with booking and current promotions
- Services with prices, one page per area
- Team
- Gallery
- Vouchers
- Contact, directions, opening hours, Impressum, privacy
How do I find new clients through Google?
With a well-kept Google Business Profile, many real reviews and a page of its own for each service, for example lash lift or balayage with your place in the title. More in the guide Getting Google reviews.
We build your salon website for free, embed your booking system, and you manage prices, services and images yourself in your admin area. You only pay for hosting with care, cheaper than today.
What helps most on Google?
A page of its own for every sought-after service, a well-kept Google profile with many real reviews and photos of your work. Whoever searches for a specific treatment in their city should land on exactly the page that explains it, with price, duration and a booking button.
How do I handle cancellations?
Cancellation rules belong clearly visible on the website and in the booking confirmation, for example until when a cancellation is free. Clear rules prevent arguments and empty slots.
Frequently asked questions
Which booking system fits?
The one you already use. We embed existing systems such as Eversports or others. If you do not have one yet, we advise you.
May I show before-and-after pictures?
With the person's consent and, depending on the treatment, with caution, because advertising law sets limits.
Can I sell gift vouchers online?
Yes, with payment by PayPal or advance payment, and orders go straight to you.
Do prices have to be on the website?
Not necessarily, but prices with duration help clients a lot in deciding.
