What belongs on a website for physiotherapy?
- Services clearly separated: what is available on prescription, what as self-pay services, with prices for private patients.
- Route to an appointment: phone hours, enquiry form or booking tool, and what patients need to bring, such as the prescription.
- Current situation: one sentence on waiting time or free places, which you can change yourself. That saves many calls.
- Team with photos and specialisms.
- Home visits, if you offer them, with service area.
- Accessibility of the practice: lift, parking, access with a walker.
Why a page for job openings?
Many practices win staff through their own website. A page of its own with real information on team, working hours, training and a contact person works better than a sentence like 'We are looking for reinforcements'. Applications then arrive directly, without a portal.
What should I watch in advertising law?
Physiotherapy falls under the German Medicinal Products Advertising Act (Heilmittelwerbegesetz) as soon as complaints or illnesses are mentioned. No promises such as 'pain-free after a few sessions', no guarantees of success. Describe factually how a treatment works and what it is used for.
What belongs in the Impressum?
Besides the usual details under § 5 DDG (German Digital Services Act), regulated health professions also need the statutory professional title and the state that granted it, as well as the relevant professional rules. If in doubt, have the exact wording confirmed.
Which pages do we usually build?
- Home page with route to an appointment and current situation
- Services on prescription
- Self-pay services with prices
- Team
- Job openings
- Frequently asked questions, such as on prescriptions, cancellation, co-payment
- Contact, directions, Impressum, privacy
How do practices get found on Google?
With a complete Google Business Profile, a page of its own for each treatment and the place in the title. Whoever searches for physiotherapy in their district is then more likely to land with you. More in the guide Getting found locally on Google.
We build your practice website for free, with services, team, a job page and a field for the current waiting time that you change yourself. You only pay for hosting with care, cheaper than today.
How do I handle turning people away and waiting lists?
Many practices get more enquiries than they can take. An honest sentence on the website, such as 'We are currently accepting new patients for appointments from December', saves phone time and looks more professional than a recorded message. If you keep a waiting list, you can organise it through the enquiry form, with the details that are really needed for planning.
What about home visits?
If you offer home visits, describe the service area concretely and say who they are for, for example on a doctor's prescription. That answers one of the most common questions on the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an online booking tool?
Not necessarily. Many practices work with the phone and an enquiry form. If you use a booking tool, we embed it.
May I state prices for private services?
Yes, and it helps patients decide. Keep them up to date.
Can I post job ads myself?
Yes, in your admin area you can change texts and news yourself.
May I advertise with successes?
Only very carefully, the Medicinal Products Advertising Act sets narrow limits. Factual descriptions are safer.
